An original 1920’s child, baby and dog friendly weather boarded single storey beach house with enclosed garden nestled behind the sand dunes just a stone’s throw from the picturesque sandy beaches and water’s edge of Camber Sands. Light and airy in the summer and warm and cosy in winter it offers the perfect escape from busy lives.
Owlers Retreat is a charming self-catered light and comfortable three bedroomed wooden beach house in a sheltered spot in a no through road less than 1 minute walk from the beach. It boasts a large deck, fully enclosed south facing garden, a garage to store bikes, surfboards etc. and a hard standing for boats caravans etc.
It has all the mod cons needed for a relaxing break both in the summer and winter months including: Bifolding doors and large sundeck as well as central heating and a wood burning stove. The modern bathroom has a bath, rain shower and heated floor; the fully fitted kitchen has a filtered water tap, microwave, dishwasher washing machine and tumble dryer. All bedrooms have new beds and mattresses and top quality white linen is provided throughout.
Owlers retreat is an idyllic base from which to explore East Sussex throughout all seasons.
Local shops, cafes and the wonderful Beach Bistro restaurant are within walking distance. Beyond the seven mile stretch of sandy beach, windsurfing, kitesurfing and sailing are available at the local water sports centre and the historic town of Rye is a short drive away for shops, pubs, restaurants, fresh seafood and a cream teas. Renowned walking and cycling routes around Rye and the Romney Marsh are highly recommended.
